My QCon 2015 Beijing Slides — PHP 7中文EN

Quite a few people still don't know much about PHP 7. At QCon 2015 Beijing I gave a talk on it, covering PHP 7's main new features and its dramatic performance improvement (it's now on par with HHVM).
The focus is on what performance techniques we applied and what the end result looks like.
I had posted it on Weibo before, but people still keep DMing me asking for the slides. Given how search-engine-unfriendly Weibo is, I'm putting them here instead.

The current plan is to release PHP 7 in October, with the first alpha out in May or June. The major surgery is done; now it's a matter of abstracting the common cases out of various specific scenarios and doing some general-purpose optimization.
